The defaults of self indulgence
The defaults of self indulgence is a partnership between choreographers and performers Maya Weinberg and Lee Méir. They started their collaborative work in January 2014, seeking to test together the artificiality of the performative situation. They share the same urge to explore the flexibility of the creative mind and to investigate different strategies of transforming boredom and random objects into very successful art.
The Extended Book Practice (2016)
In 2014 the defaults of self indulgence started to develop their Book Practice: The Book Practice, is an exploration of books as stimulators for action, as a ‘thing’ that is between an object and a container of information and stimuli. The word “practicing” is related to functionality, repetition and progress and specifically to the body in activity. Books are related to information, knowledge, poetics, and the expansion of the mind. The Book practice is a an exploration in which we establish a fluid negotiation between books and the “body at work”.

if it's fun (2014)
In if it´s fun, we force ourselves into a state of hyper-creativity. In a habitat of superabundance and countless possibilities, we yield to a physicality of open links, wandering about and through fragments of texts, movements, upset objects and flickering cultural signposts. This is a starting point for an adventurous voyage into the ambiguous nature of creative processes. We offer you an unfinished analysis of creativity.
